New Nike Portugal Home Shirt 2014
 
The 2014 Portugal World Cup home kit was designed by Nike to celebrate the Portuguese Football Federation’s centenary.
 
The shirt features a tonal design of dark red and bright red stripes on the top half and sleeves, with varying sized stripes creating an energizing graphic that provides a sense of speed and exhilaration.
 
The jersey also features a dark red V-neck collar and cuffs with green trim. On either side of the Portuguese Football Federation’s crest are the years 1914 and 2014 to commemorate their centenary.
 
Inside the back of the neck is a red and green pennant tab featuring an Armillary Sphere to herald Portugal’s seafaring history 123.
 
Portugal reached the knockout stage of the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil, where they were eliminated by eventual winners Germany in the group stage. Cristiano Ronaldo scored a goal in the group stage match against Ghana.
